Round-Up: Christmas in American Sign Language | San Antonio Baby Sign Language

We had an excellent time at our Lone Star Signers Christmas party this weekend! We learned a few new signs, read Bear Stays up For Christmas, and sang a handful of Christmas songs. Our little ones participated in a book exchange, did a craft, and even played outside for a while.

One of the moms said, “This was the perfect Christmas party for my son!” I agree. We love our students and their families, and it’s so special to have them in our home for holiday celebrations. ❤

If you couldn’t make it to the party, here are a few videos to help you learn Christmas signs:
From ASL Nook (no sound; be sure to turn on the captions):

This is a great interpretation of Straight No Chaser’s The 12 Days of Christmas by students from Klahowya Secondary School in Washington:

And in case you somehow missed this adorable video when it went viral last week:

Claire Koch is a CODA (child of Deaf adults), and she decided to sign the songs in her Kindergarten holiday concert. She is seriously the cutest child I have ever seen!

Finally, here’s a short video from Signing Time:
