Going Swimming: ASL Signs for the Pool!

Pool Time Signs from Lone Star Signers Well, it’s that time again–we hit 99 degrees on Sunday afternoon, so a trip to the pool was definitely on my husband’s agenda! I thought y’all might enjoy learning some signs related to swimming:

Tap the W hand on your chin twice.
Demonstrate the breaststroke twice.
Dr. Bill Vicars from lifeprint.com
Sign SWIM and then CLOTHES (both 5 hands brush your chest twice).

HAT Pat your head twice.

TOWEL Pretend you are holding a towel in your hands behind your back and alternate back and forth like you’re drying your neck/back.

Fingerspell the word: P-O-O-L.

CAREFUL Stack your right K hand on top of your left K hand and circle them together.

Hopefully, these signs will improve your pool experiences this summer!
