Sweet Treats from Lolli & Pops | Lone Star Signers

Sweet Treats from Lolli & Pops | Lone Star Signers

When an introvert and an extrovert fall in love and spend the rest of their lives together, some compromises must be made. While I would choose to spend an entire weekend curled up with a book, my (sweet, amazing) husband gets stir-crazy after the first 12 hours.

So Saturday evening, when he walked over to me (reading on the couch) and said, “What do you want to do tonight?”…I knew that the NICE thing to do would be to offer up an outing.

“Want to do something AWESOME?!” I asked. “Leave it all to me!”

I had seen a few blog posts (here and here) about the new candy store in La Cantera (Lolli & Pops), and I knew the girls would be on-board with my idea of fun. They had gotten hooked on gummy bears while staying at their Grandma & Grandpa’s house in Missouri the week before, and we had run out.

When we first walked into Lolli & Pops, a uniformed young man met us at the door with GUMMY BEAR samples. It was like a sign, y’all. The store was packed with happy customers, but several employees stopped by to say hello to Addie and Kate. One even offered up a taste of CHOCOLATE-COVERED gummy bears. The girls were in heaven!

We walked around slowly, looking at all the different options. We loved that most of the candy was offered in bulk, so the girls could each pick out a small taste of something. (Surprise, surprise…they both picked their favorite color of gummy bears!) I decided to try a few new things from the chocolate room (sea-salt caramels!), while Adam chose raspberry gummies. All in all, we had a terrific time, enjoyed great customer service, and ended up paying just a few dollars for our sweets.

We are so thankful for the San Antonio blogging community who regularly introduce us to new and fun things happening in San Antonio, like Lolli & Pops. We hope you get a chance to try them soon! (This is not a sponsored post.)

  1. Wow, that place sounds awesome. I really really need to go there. I’m guessing my kids will like it too 😉 Thanks for sharing. I was swooning at “gummy bear samples” oh my!!

    • My girls were almost overwhelmed by all the choices. Saturday evening may not have been the best time to go–I bet a weekday is calmer!
