Round-Up: 4th of July in American Sign Language

Happy Birthday, America!

I hope you and your little ones are having a wonderful week learning more about the United States. (Click here if you’re looking for simple, fun 4th of July activities for your toddlers and preschoolers.) Today, I want to share some of my favorite videos highlighting important signs for this special holiday.

This first video is great for learning the signs for AMERICA, 4th of JULY, and FIREWORKS, and the colors RED, WHITE, and BLUE.

My older daughter just started 1st grade yesterday (we’re homeschooling year-round), and one of the topics in her curriculum this year is U.S. geography. We’ll be watching this video and practicing the signs for the different states:

Finally, I hope you enjoy this video of Alex Brown and Leah Coleman (from Signing Time) performing our national anthem!

Happy 4th of July from Lone Star Signers!

Which signs are you going to learn with your kiddos this week?
